You bet it is nasty and tough to negotiate. Lots of ups and downs and routes that are tree root exposed. Steep drops to creek with what remains of an old path, slanted to forty degrees. I made it, and never looked up once. I love the Crum, but will select a more 70 year old friendly entrance.
Glad you made it!! I was last on this trail about 3 years ago and I only imagine that it’s gotten worse with time due to erosion. Pretty trail if you stop and look around, though!
